Custom domains

Every published site gets a Waveform subdomain out of the box. On Pro and Business plans you can serve your site from your own domain — connect a domain you already own, or register a new one with us.

Settings UI

Open Settings → Custom domain in your workspace:

  1. Enter the hostname (apex or www).
  2. Add the DNS records Waveform shows at your registrar.
  3. Click Verify — Waveform live-polls DNS and SSL status until the domain is active.

You can also drive the same flow in chat ("Connect www.flourandstone.com").

Register with us

Don't have a domain yet? Search availability and purchase from Settings (or ask in chat). Checkout runs through Stripe; after payment Waveform registers the name and attaches it to your project. Renewals are billed on the same Stripe customer.

DNS verification & SSL

After DNS is correct, certificates are provisioned automatically on Cloudflare's edge. There is nothing to buy, upload, or renew — HTTPS just works. Propagation can take from a few minutes up to an hour depending on your registrar.

How traffic is served (SaaS / site-router)

Custom hostnames route through Waveform's site-router (Cloudflare for SaaS). The hostname is bound to your project; requests are resolved to the published site and edge APIs — including native forms. Form posts on a custom domain hit the same lead-capture path as the Waveform subdomain, so Results, notify email, and destinations keep working after you go live on your own name.

Apex domains and www

You can connect the apex (flourandstone.com), www, or both. If your registrar doesn't support the record type needed for the apex, Waveform tells you during verification and suggests the standard workaround.

Removing or changing a domain

Remove the custom domain from Settings or say "remove the custom domain" in chat. Your Waveform subdomain keeps working throughout, so switching domains never takes the site offline.

Availability

Custom domains require a Pro or Business plan. The free tier publishes to a Waveform subdomain.
